The game will pit The Northern Football Conference champion GTA All Stars, based out of Toronto, against the best of the Alberta Football League, the Calgary Gators for senior football bragging rights.

The Gators are coming off a victory over The Fort McMurray Monarchs and are looking for a victory over the NFC after losses the last two years. This is the 16th edition of the final and the two teams will be battling for the Sid Forster Memorial Trophy.

The NFC is the current champion as the Montreal Transit won their second title in a row with a 49-26 victory over the Calgary Wolfpack last September in Calgary.

The All Stars will be led by head coach Didi Nwagbo and veteran’s QB Tom Dennison and WR Ricky Clarke, while the Gators will counter with the QB tandem of Jordan Heather and Daryl Leason .
