Gators advance to 3rd Straight AFL Title Game with Win over Stars (Courtesy Calgary Gators Football Club)

Your Calgary Gators advance to their third straight AFL championship game. With a 49-35 win vs the St Albert Stars. The Gators got out to a early 28-0 lead scoring on the first 4 drives of the game. After taking a 42-7 lead into halftime the Gators seemed to lose focus and start giving up big plays and taking bad penalties to keep Stars drives alive. The Stars showed great heart but in the end the Gators D tightened up and finished them off. This was the wake up call the team needed and a motivator to work even harder the next two weeks.

On September 12th the Gators host the Ft Mac Monarchs. The game is at Shouldice Athletic Park, 7pm kickoff. The Gators took the regular season matchup 22-15 and you can expect another thrilling game as these two teams have the most talent a AFL title game has ever seen.
